Why do you get your best ideas in the shower?
Your best idea this week, especially the creative one probably came while showering.
It is not the first time that has happened. Every time an idea came to you in the bathroom randomly, you went "OOH" and patted yourself on the back.
But, ever wondered why you get your best ideas in the bathroom? There's an explanation to this randomness.
And to understand that let's travel back in time.
Once upon a time in ancient Greece, there lived an average man, a very very average mani>. One fine day, that man was tasked to check whether the gold crown was purely gold, or silver has been mixed in secretly while making the crown. The task was very important as the crown was made for the king and the task itself was given by the king.
He had one constraint to work with, that he could not melt the crown. After beating his brain day n night, he got nowhere close to the solution. But one day, just like any other day, he sat in a bath and "Eureka!" he shouted.
That "Eureka" is the "OOH" feeling you get in the shower when an idea hits you. And just like you, he found the solution of the problem in the bath. He discovered that when he sat down in the bath, the water that overflowed must be equal to his body's volume. Hence, he could solve the king's puzzle by measuring how much water the crown displaced, he could determine its volume, and by comparing it to its weight, he could figure out if it was pure gold or mixed with silver.
That, people, is how buoyancy was discovered and the man? The man is one of the greatest mathematicians and physicists to ever lived, you know him by the name of Archimedes.
The science and logic behind all of this remains the same.
When Archimedes sat in the bath, his mind and body went into a deep sense of relaxation. During the moment of relaxation while performing a routinely task, certain part of his brain got stimulated, what scientists now call Default Mode Network. The DMN is the brain state responsible for daydreaming, mind-wandering, and imagination.
Additionally, in the state of relaxation, his brain released Dopamine. Finally, with nothing to distract him, everything worked together and connected all the dots giving him the solution.
Exactly that's how every brain functions. (Featured Product: Downpour Shower)
One key factor that mattered then and now is the surrounding where you relax. Yes, cool bathroom gear like Somany Downpour and Elysia Shower won't magically write a song or solve a math problem for you. However, you can agree that you need a good bed for a good night sleep, apply the same logic here.
Now, one can argue that they are no different than Archimedes that too with better water pressure.
