Somany Bags a Gold award at LACP awards

One more achievement to feel proud..!!! Owing to the unconventional design and aesthetics of the annual report (FY:11-12) Somany Ceramics have won GOLD in the global Top 100 Annual Reports in the Spotlight Awards 2012, conducted by LACP.The achievement only shows that somany’s financial reporting and disclosures are impressive, creative transparent and best in the industry which enabled us to reach such a level of success.

Adding one more star to the Hall of Fame…Somany is again awarded with the prestigious award of being the Asia’s most promising brand of the year (2012-2013) in the industry category of ceramic tiles by the World Consulting & Research Corporation. The award only authenticates the dependability of the company in the market………Striving to excel..!!!

Somany has again set a new benchmark by earning INDIAN POWERBRANDS AWARD-2011-12. Indian Powerbrands is a research driven anthology of India's most powerful companies, which are successfully taking on and beating their global competitors in their own unique ways. The award function was held on 12th Dec at Grosvenor square, London. The event was held in order to felicitate those Indian cult brands which are globally recognized and appreciated for their strong brand equity.

Somany Ceramics-Kadi Plant has been awarded with OHSAS 18001 : 2007 Certification by International Accreditation of UKAS by Certification body ISOQAR.
OHSAS (Occupational Health and Safety Assessment System) is an International Standard focusing mainly on compliance to legal requirements, reduction in occupation related accidents, safe working practices, health monitoring of employees and intended for better health and safety of all stakeholders at large. The OHSAS culture within an organization enables reduce accidents, deploy safe working practices, 100% legal compliance, hence better health & safety of employees and enhance stakeholders confidence in organization.

Green Building Certification: We are the first one to get the membership to the Indian Green Building Council. Somany Ceramics’ membership to the IGBC, reassures that each manufactured product is eco friendly. Green building is a model of sustainable building world. This approach ensures the health and comfort of the building occupants through the use of sustainable building material. IGBC’s Green homes is the first rating programme developed in India, exclusively for the residential sector. It is based on accepted energy and environmental principles and strikes a balance between known, established practices and emerging concepts. Green buildings is the practice of creating structures and using processes that are environmentally responsible and resource efficient throughout a building’s life cycle.
